LTL Freight Shipments
- Customer must be present at time of the delivery in order to accept the freight
- If freight is not accepted on scheduled delivery date, a re-delivery will need to be authorized
- Re-Delivery fee from the carrier will then be charged to customer's credit card
Oversize or heavy products not able to ship via UPS or FedEx will ship via an LTL carrier of Cargo Equipment's choice unless otherwise specified. Customer pickups are welcome, but it is the driver's responsibility to secure the load. We have ample parking for semis as well as loading docks for trucks of any size.
Freight Quotes and Charges
Any quote of freight charges by a salesperson or customer service rep is an estimate only and may vary at the time of delivery.
Merchandise Damaged In Transit
Check shipments immediately upon receipt. Note any damage when signing for your shipment. Do not return goods damaged in transit to us. Do not destroy packing materials. Notify the transportation company, UPS, FedEx, Post Office, or motor carrier immediately. They will pick up the merchandise and packing materials for inspection and claim settlement. Cargo Equipment can assist you when filing damage or loss claims with carriers, but cannot become directly involved in the claims process. Our liability for damage in transit ceases when the carrier receives the shipment from us.
Check shipments upon receipt and report errors within five (5) days. Obtain a damage or shortage notation on the carrier's receipt. We can assist you when filing claims against carriers, but our liability ceases when the carrier receives the merchandise.
